Study of Air Intake for the Rotating Wheel
Air intake and exaust shape optimization were performed  to optimize momentum on the “water wheel” type turbine weel for electricity recharge.
Solid Rocket Engine: Supersonic Throat Design
Supersonic flow in solid engine, exhaust throat and external camera was considered. Recommendations on the throat design were made.
Spiral Groove Seal: Pressure/Flow at 20,000 RPM
3D flow induced by rotating runner was studied. Sealing performance and pumbing characteristics were evaluated.
Heat Transfer in the Fuel Cell Assembly
Heat Transfer by forced and natural convection in an enclosure containing fuel cells/heat release was studied. Cooling effectiveness was evaluated. Internal cooling flow in the channels surrounding fuels cells was also evaluated.
HVAC Analysis in Passenger Vehicle
Analysis of 2d,3d internal flow and couplex external flow around the vehicle were considered. Windshield temperature and temperature uniformity in the cabin were evaluated.
Foil Bearing Optimization and Load Capacity
Foil Deformation, lifting and its load carrying capacity were evaluated for gas applications and speeds 10..25,000 rpm. 
Wing De-Icing System 3D Analysis
Skin Heating by internal purge flow and its interaction with external flow (cooling) was studied in detail. Flow patterns inside the flap were evaluated, 3d effects on temperature
were shown. 
Study of Laminar Flame Combustion: Stiff 100+ reaction mechanism
2D Study of ethylene laminar diffusion flame with complex stiff reaction mechansims consisting of 100+ reactions.
Turbulent Transient Flow around Squared Cylinder-Validation
Turbulent flow near squared cylinder located near the wall. Validation study of pressure variation in a transient mode, comparison with CFD2K experimental data.
Electromigration and Thermal Stress Analysis of Metal Interconnect IC Wires
Development of electromigration computational model and thermal stress reliability analysis of interconnect structures.
Inertial Effects in Hydrodynamic Journal Bearings
In lubrication theory influence of inertial terms (Reynolds equation) is something that remains somewhat a mistery. This ongoing research effort uses full NS equations to solve Low and high RPM flows and compare with Reynolds equation solutions. This will point to differences due to inertial terms.

Transport, Heat Transfer and Flow in Low Pressure Equipment Chambers
Flow uniformity, conductances and species distributions in low pressure vacuum chambers were computationally studied.

Flow Distribution in US/Canadian Paths of Niagara Falls
Arial photograph of Niagara Falls was scanned and flow distribution in US & Canadian parts of the Falls was calculated.. Interesting conclusions regarding errosion and recirculations were obtained. 
Oil Flow around Orifice  and Structural/Thermal Deflection of Rubber Seal
Pressure drop through rubber orifice was studied, accounting for flow induced deflection and thermal deformation.

Finger Seal- Pressure Drop Analyses
Finger (hockey stick) seals is a new advanced concept for aeropropulsion applications. Flow around deveral lines of hockey sticks was considered, pressure drop estimatied, including rotational effects.

Aerodynamic Resistance Reduction: Boundary Layer Suction and Impingement
It was recently proposed that purge/suction in the boundary layer can result in the reduction of overall flow resistance. Several virtual test benches were build to validate this proposal.

3D Taylor Vortices in Rotating Cylindrical Systems
Complex Taylor vortex formation were studied for the system of 2 cylinders, at roatating speed of 2500 rpm. Formations were established rendering good comparisons with experimental data.

Heat Balance in Commercial High Density CVD PLASMA Reactors
Complex chemical reactions, cooling, low pressure, atmospheric pressure multi-compartment analysis of high density plasma reactor and its thermal field was performed.

Catalytic Surface Reactions and CVD Analysis Using Coupled Chemkin reaction Models
Many chemical processes are initiated due to catalitic surface reactions. CHEMKIN offers elaborate mechanisms to account for them and we solved it with multidimensional fluid/heat transfer in a coupled manner.

Separation Reduction in Exhausts and Chamber Components
New technique for flow optimization was proposed and tested. Several low speed gas flow paths were optimized and lead to full eleimination of separation.

Flow and Heat Transfer in Complex Manifolds
Flow split in multi-pipe, T junctions pipes and manifolds was studied. Specific recommendations were made.
